Q. What kind of subject is The World of Plants?

A. It is a subject that teaches the charm and the value of plants. to the subject makes the student view plants more interestingly by promoting the understanding of plants. I mostly teach the unique traits of plants and their effects on humans in this class.

Q. How are the classes run?

A. I currently provide online lectures for theory. I write on a blackboard. I use various visual resources in order to observe various features of plants, because the classes are mostly about plants.

Q. What do you emphasize in the classes?

A. I emphasize that the characteristics of plants, which are unlike animals, are beneficial for humans. Plants provides oxygen for humans to survive. Plants also create various chemical activities. Their nickname is chemical plants, so they can be used for the ingredients of medical products in order to save humans’ lives.

Q. Do you have any difficulties?

A. I have to give recorded lectures, which have a lot of restrictions. It is especially impossible to receive real time feedback from the students. I can’t comprehend how much the students understand, because there is no interaction between me and the students.

Q. How are the regular face-to-face classes conducted?

A. The classes are mostly conducted outdoors in order to provide an opportunity to directly observe plants at the Children's Grand Park. The students closely observe plants, and they express what they observe in paintings.

Q. Why do you think this course is popular among the students?

A. This course is popular, because we can easily access plants. The students can view plants in the classes, which they otherwise neglected, in a new interesting way.

Q. What type of students do you want to recommend this class to?

A. This course will be great for students who grow plants or have an interest in plants. The students who are not that familiar with plants can take this course if they want to expand their knowledge to a new field of plants.

Q. Do you want to say something to the students?

A. Humans are animals, so they are instinctively more interested with animals than they are with plants. Nevertheless, plants are closely related to human life, so they are important objects to study with interest. I hope everyone realizes the importance of plants and carefully observes them.
